Classy Baseball

Hiya guys,
So it's 2009 and I know this is a tad late but happy new year! lol. I am in university....STILL...it's kicking my ass...STILL but you know what, I am happy I am in school right now with how bad the Economy is. There are NO jobs out there which sucks because I am getting ready to head home to go job hunting. I started but so far no luck. It sucks. So the United States has its first Black president - I say step in the right direction but this blog isn't about that. This Blog is about baseball!

So there is this thing called The World Baseball Classic - and this is when about 16 countries from around the world come together in the United States, Japan and Canada, and play each other for the bragging rights to say they are the best in the world. This is the first year I've actually paid attention but they used their major league players as well. So this year there was Venezuela, Japan, Korea, Canada, USA, Cuba, Austrailia, South Africa, Puerto Rico, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Russia, China, Taipei, Dominican Republic and Panama - they are trying to bring the world together with baseball. Great idea, great job. But the thing I don't get is this.

Why is it that the USA and Venezuelan teams act like such jerks? One of the Venezuelan players in practise, hit a ball out of Dodger's stadium then had the gall to call to the Korean team and tell them that there's more to come. Why would you do that? You see, I hate show-offs, I really do and if you are representing your county why in the hell do you do that? What's it gonna accomplish? The USA team acted like their shit dont stink and that they were better than the Asian teams and that gets my goat ALL the time. So you lost, big deal, you lost to a superb team - a team that has perfect pitching, hitting, catching, backing up each other, LOYALTY you JERKS!

The news is Korea lost to the USA but Korea wasn't kicked out of the WBC! oh no...see after Korea lost the USA - the USA team went on to play Japan.Karma is a bitch. I keep saying that and people keep ignoring me! USA went to play Japan, Japan beat them 10-2 and sent their asses home. Korea beat Venezuela and sent them home.

Now where the classy comes in Korea won their game against Venezuela and the beautiful thing about it is that the whole Korean team, lined up on the field, removed their hats and bowed to their fans! The American team would NEVER have done that - EVER!

The final game was between Korea and Japan and at the beginning, the two teams met on the field and exchanged hats, shook hands and bow! That is class! That is is CLASS! Every time these men get on the field, they have this smile on their faces. You can tell that they are so happy to be playing - so proud to be playing. These men you can tell that they WANT to be there and to be catching and throwing and pitching! Why don't you see that in the faces of the American/Canadian team members faces? Why don't they smile anymore? Or shake hands with their opponent? Is it the money? It couldnt be the money because some of the players from the Asian teams (Especially the Japan team) are also major league players but the Asian teams are just so happy to be playing the game. They genuinely LOVE the game....

All I'm saying is that Team Korea and Team Japan showed the world, that baseball can be fun, competitive and civil. Our western teams, need to learn from them. They need to watch these Asian teams and take a page fromt their books because if our teams can't get alone when competing against each other, they have a snowball's chance in hell of making it work when they have to work together against the world.

That's all I'm saying. Oh and Blue Jays, I hope you guys were paying attention to Japan's pitching - you don't dump your pitcher because he had a bad inning! PS...Japan beat Korea 5-3, So it goes, Japan in first, Korea in Second. (giggles) I bet the USA team would be PISSED because they got out pitched my a 21 year old! Its so saweet!

Hoo Boy am I pissed...

Hello guys,
Well as many of you know, I am a rabid baseball fan. Now, last season, I didn't get to watch much baseball because let's be honest, school was kicking my ass then I was working some insane hours and I just would rather sleep than watch TV. But this season I am back into the baseball thing and I have to say that I am SEVERELY disappointed with the Blue Jays. Let's see, Reed Johnson, has been a DH for the Jays but sometimes filled in at first base for a while now. Am talking about MAD Skills. Whenever they need a hit, or a run driven in what do they do? They put Reed in and ninety percent of the time, Reed delivers. So he got hurt and they dropped him like a bad habit. Then this season, Frank Thomas' bat has been unusually silent. Fine he's in a slump, again, what did the 'smart' people over at the Blue Jays do? They benched him and expect him to just sit there and watch. Give the man some credit, he wants to actually play and start earning his keep again. There's loyalty for you.

It seems the Toronto Blue Jays have a rather irritating knack for bringing their players from AAA, train them then trade them! What the fuck man! Don't you ever want to win another championship? Don't you ever want to have a sold out stadium that is NOT on opening day? Stop fucking messing with the god damn line up! Stop dropping your players because they get hurt! No wonder players don't want to come here! Because the whole god damn organization has no loyalty to their players.

As for the Reed and Big Frank issue? Is it affecting the Jays? Why dont I tell you the numbers and you decide? It is now 24th game into the new season and the Jays have been swept by the Devil Rays and is at LAST PLACE in the American League. Getting rid of Frank is gonna come back and bite them in the ass and I for one will be all too pleased to watch them burn!

Have I Mentioned that I hate this school? No? I HATE THIS SCHOOL!

Well hello my lovelies,
Well I am sitting here this computer lab and I am angry as hell. Why you ask? Well let me see, the fact that I have a MAJOR paper due today and the computer lab system just crapped out on us? The fact that not only is the lab down, but the whole school's system has crapped out because they switched our syste to this new one when we never had issues with the old one! Are you serious? Why in the hell would you fix something that is not broken?

Next just found out that they are shutting down our school pub. No letter, no announcement, no nothing. What moron thought the students weren't going to complain about that? They can't shut down our pub! We paid for that in our fees and if they are going to shut downt he pub that's one less thing that we need to pay for so they should drop the amount of money we pay. But this school thinks that the students that go here are suckers and they wont do that.

*sigh* I don't know why I fucking bother. They dont give a shit. No one does. Well, I'm going to go back to fighting with this system. Hopefully its working...But I'm not gonna hold my breath.

The New Knight Rider

Hey guys, Ok I am going to vent now. So NBC has remade, well not really, remade, but they brought back Knight Rider, with a new cast and a new car. The Hoff, did a cameo to hand over the reigns to Justin Breuning (I hope I spelt that right). First of all, give the frigging guy a break! He is an actor and has been doing it a lot longer than many of you. Some of you CAN'T act and has NEVER act in your life so who are you to be commenting. First of all I've been acting for over fifteen years and this guy was good. He played Mike Traceur perfectly.

Second of all, its TRACEUR not TRACER. So the morons who keep asking what kind of name is MIKE TRACER need to learn to spell before they act like idiots.

Thirdly, NBC wanted to get the REAL KITT's voice but the man responsible for voicing KITT is currently voicing commercials for GMC. This is a problem because Knight Rider's car is now a kick ass, souped up, Ford Mustang. Different companies, so for the original guy to do KITT's voice would pose not only an ethics problem but a contract problem.

Now for those of you who want the old KITT back? Get a frigging life! That car was cool THEN, I give you that but that was almost twenty five years ago! Grow up and move on. It's a whole, new show, new cast, new technologies, new car, the world keeps on spinning.

Now to the critics, listen, this movie is not really a movie and if you were so smart and all knowing you would know that Knight Rider was a two hour long pilot. It is to see how people take it, work out the kinks if any and then maybe run it as a new series on NBC. Stop being so god damn assanine, expecting the same thing as what the old Knight Rider used to be.

There is nothing wrong with a Mustang. There's nothing wrong with the new cast that cant be fixed and there is nothing wrong with Val Kilmer doing the voice for KITT. If you don't like it then go fly a kite! There's no one forcing you to watch it. And another thing, if you haven't seen the new Knight Rider, then shut the fuck up because if you haven't seen it how can you comment about it?

It's happening again....

Well guys,

It's starting. I don't even know how I didnt see it coming. I've been getting rather agitated lately and I think I know why. People I thought were my friends only served to stab me in the back and just basically show their true colours. Then friends that I expected to be there for me disappears for months and shows up in my life again.

Life is complicated as hell and no one told me it would be this hard. I mean I expected it to be but damn! My writing is going well, I guess that's the only thing that is working for me right now and its the one thing I have to get lost in when my life really turns to the shits.

Seriously, in your life you're supposed to have some good friends. The kinds of friends that will drop everything and be by your side if you need them. The friends that makes you promises and keep them but for some sick twisted reasons, I get stuck with the ones that doesn't give a shit about anything or anyone but themselves. I try to be like them but my heart wont let me. I try ignoring them, sticking up for anyone but myself but its not working. I am different that they are, I know that. I love different cultures. I scream "YATTA!" when I am happy or won something (for those of you who don't speak Japanese and is reading this, YATTA means Yippee or I GOT IT!" in Japanese), I write romance, I love friendship etc. I love the small things in life. I don't like loudness, I dont like drama, I dont like stupidity!

*sigh* I don't know. Maybe am making things too complicated or maybe ... I dont know...I guess I am making a big deal out of nothing but at my age I can't afford to sit back and be complacent anymore. I can't just lay here and do nothing. I am getting rather irritated at the way my life is going.
